British Columbia Timberframe Homes
This new ENERGY STAR certified home located in Squamish BC was the first to achieve certification in the Sea to Sky corridor (Vancouver to Whistler BC). Passive Home principles guided this project, to not only build an energy-efficient and healthy home, but to also leverage the most advanced construction technology available to home owners; off-site wall and roof panel system manufacturing. The wall and roof enclosure systems are European-inspired and built with all natural materials; non toxic glues, pressed wood waste and spun volcanic rock insulation such as Roxul or spun recycled glass such as Jet Stream. These materials help to create a healthy home environment. The timber frame is a simple shed roof style home that takes its inspiration from mid-century modern times. Brick fireplace, interior cedar wood paneling, cream coloured kitchen, teak furniture, covered deck area, floor to ceiling windows soaking in the amazing views of Howe Sound and the surrounding mountains in the Squamish Valley are just some of the great style features of this west coast gem.
